How to Keep Your Phone Secure

Place your phone in tight pockets where you can feel it. Tight pockets give you the feeling that you’ve got something stuffed inside. Anyone trying to remove the cell phone would have to pull it out with difficulty, by then you would feel the physical contact first. Tight pockets also avoid loosing your mobile phone through dropping. In situation where you sit in a bus and the phone slips out is reduced.
Always make phone calls at areas where you feel save. Making a phone call in a congested area creates attention to cell phone crooks that could snatch the cell phone while you are still having a conversation.

Always enable the security features on you cell phone. By enabling the security code or the PIN code makes difficult for anyone to use your phone. In trying to enter the PIN number three times without having the right digits, the sim card would block itself. The user can only get it unblocked the network service provider.
If the phone was a stolen phone and the owner of the stolen cell phone had reported to the network service provider, a counter check could be performed on the serial number of the blocked \locked cell phone.

On purchasing a cell phone make sure you register it with a lost mobile tracking system company. The tracking system would track the mobile phone in case it would be stolen. Note that the cell phones without tracking software will not be traceable if the tracing software was not installed on the mobile phone.

Avoid lending your phone to strangers who come with excuses such as “can I place my sim card in your cell phone?” Such tricks have been used to run off with phones as the owner will feel moved and will really want to help the person in trouble. Assisting people is good, but if assisting them at the expense of every phone you purchase is bad. So keep your phone safe
