How to Keep Your Phone Secure

Place your phone in tight pockets where you can feel it. Tight pockets give you the feel that you’ve got something and in case anyone tries to remove it you will feel the physical contact first. Tight pockets also avoid dropping. In situation where you sit in a bus and the phone slips out is reduced.

Always make phone calls at areas where you feel save. Making a phone call in a congested area can end up in loosing your cell phone as anyone can grab it while you are still having a conversation.

Always enable the security features on you cell phone, by using an entering code PIN, makes it very difficult for any other person to use your phone. In trying to enter the PIN number three times without having the right digits, the sim card blocks itself. The user can only get it unblocked through the service provider. If the phone was a stolen phone and the victim had reported to the service provider, the serial number can help to identify if the phone is stolen or genuine.
On purchasing a cell phone make sure you register it with a tracking company that will track it in case it is stolen. Note that the cell phone can not be tracked after it has been stolen if the tracking software was never mounted on the phone.
Avoid lending your phone to strangers who come with excuses like they want to place their sim cards to call there friends or ask for assistance from a number in the sim card.

Such tricks have been used to run off with phones as the owner will feel moved and will really want to help the person in trouble. Assisting people is good, but if assisting them at the expense of every phone you purchase is bad. So keep your phone safe.
