You No Longer Need Cops to Track Your Stolen Cell Phone
Many people are getting frustrated by the increase in cell phone theft. The other day I saw someone being mercilessly beaten because of stealing a cell phone that was worth less than $80. The people who were carrying out this act were probably people who have been victims of cell phone theft and needed to ‘revenge’ on the unfortunate person.
More frustrating is when you lose your phone and report the case to the police. They take you through a long unnecessary procedure. Most of them demand for ‘something small’ so that the process can be fastened. By the time investigations are over you would have spend more than what your cell phone was worth. It would have been easier if you would have purchased a new cell phone in the long run.
But I am glad to inform you that those days of frustration are over. All this is thanks to the new cell phone tracking software. This software has been programmed to work together with GSM technology so that your cell phone can be recovered. Here is how it works:
You have to install the software onto your cell phone. You can use WAP or GPRS if your phone has these services. If not, you can alternately download it from a computer and transfer the software on your phone. An important piece of information that you have to include is the number of a trusted person or one you meet regularly. What happens is that the software merges your sim card number together with your mobile phone’s IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number, better known as the serial number. This means that if a new sim card is inserted into the cell phone, the software will be able to identify that the new sim card does not belong to that phone. It will send an email to your address and a text message to the number you had provided after every 30 mins.
