Risk of using a stolen cell phone

It is always important to purchase a phone from a recognized dealer. Most phones sold in second hand markets usually stolen. You may happen to purchase a stolen mobile phone with mobile tracking software installed in it. The moment you insert a new SIM card, the phone will send a short message to a number chosen by the owner identifying the number you are using.

This information can be used by the cell phone owner with the help of the authority to get you arrested. You may end up in jail and probably convicted with charges that are connected with the calls made since the phone was stolen.

You are never at ease when using a stolen phone. You may be arrested or identified by the owner of the phone.

You might not be aware that the phone was stolen, meaning that you may be misidentified as a mobile phone robber. This can reduce your integrity among those who recognize you as a well built character to a shop lifter and petty dirty mobile thief.

Some mobile tracking software when activated may lock all the components of the phone making it useless to the person who stole it. The software may also delete all the information in the phone making it less helpful in the long run
