Locate stolen Cell Phones

One of the most embraced technologies that is in high use at this moment is the use of mobile phones. These gadgets have totally revolutionized the communication industry and it has become the normal way of communication for many. With more sophisticated cell phones (better known as 3G phones) one can be able to do a variety of things including storing software on them. These phones can act as mini computer but can at the same time be used for communication. Phones these days have moved from just sending and receiving calls and messages to playing mp3 music, storing photos, infrared and Bluetooth technology plus many other things. Mobile phones are a wonderful piece of technology that has been embraced by many.

Unfortunately, with all these wonderful things there are a lot of risks involved. Being a small portable device, you can easily lose your precious phone e.g. you could be at a friend’s party and when you leave it lying there someone may just pick it. Worse still, it may get stolen. Losing all your important meeting notes, email addresses, mp3 music and photos that you have collected over a long period of time is very frustrating! One can have a terrible day when that happens.

But now there is no reason to be afraid of losing you phone. It is now possible to keep track of your stolen cell phone by downloading a phone tracking software onto it. Once installed on the phone, you will have to provide 2 preferred phone numbers for other people (i.e. people you really trust or you are in constant contact with). This is important because once you lose your phone someone may probably pick it and may throw away your sim card. As soon as he replaces your sim card and switches on the cell phone, a text message will be sent to the preferred numbers you had provided giving details of the sim card that has been inserted, including the phone number. You can then use the necessary legal steps to have it recovered and back in your hands.
